Noah, Esme and Joash discover maths through play

In maths each group gets a turn (once a week) to play with the maths trolley, they create and manipulate equipment.

Noah, Esme and Joash made a long tower out of unifix blocks. I asked them how long it was?
This is what they found out.


I learnt that it was 15 steps or feet (Joash feet) long. Joash

I used a ruler to measure it. It was 300cm or 3m long. Noah

It was 119 unifix blocks long. We showed the class what we did and what we learnt. Esme

We are Better Together- Welcome back to Term 4

Today we played a game with Mr Han. He wanted us to work together to stand up, with our arms linked, back to back. It was hard and fun and really made us think about Team work and what that means.

We can sort animals into groups
